Privacy Policy

Salt & Silk Group respects the privacy of visitors, account holders, early waitlist members, collaborators, and partners. This policy explains what information may be collected and how it is used.

Information We Collect

When you join the waitlist, apply for an opportunity, create an account, make a purchase, or contact us, we may collect your email address, phone number, preferred brand identity, interest category, application details, account profile details, order and product access records, message details, and technical information needed to operate the site.

For fit-testing, event, content, or brand-work applications, we may collect the swimwear size profile, measurements, availability, location, experience, resume or portfolio links, optional social links, and optional media links you choose to provide. Social profiles, photos, portfolio links, and media links are optional unless a separate written agreement for a specific content or campaign role says otherwise.

That technical information may include a device category, operating-system category, viewport range, page path, referring domain, campaign information, on-site interaction events, product and size interactions, pseudonymous visitor and session identifiers, performance measurements such as Core Web Vitals, and sanitized application-error fingerprints.

Raw public analytics events do not contain form contents, names, email addresses, phone numbers, account identifiers, payment details, keystrokes, clipboard contents, exact location, unrestricted page text, or raw IP addresses. Full referrer and destination query strings are removed before an event is accepted.

Local Storage and Site Measurement

During eligible public site use, Salt & Silk Group may store a random pseudonymous visitor identifier, a 30-minute inactivity-based session identifier, first- and last-touch campaign categories, a measurement preference, and a small bounded delivery queue in your browser's local storage. A short-lived signed, secure session cookie helps the same-origin collector reject invalid requests. Local preview waitlist entries saved on a local device during development are not the same as live production signups.

When a visitor moves among saltandsilkgroup.com, siren-silk.com, and angel-silk.com, a short-lived signed linker may preserve pseudonymous journey continuity. It does not contain a name, email address, account identifier, or form value.

Global Privacy Control and browser Do Not Track signals disable this public analytics collection unless an explicit measurement preference says otherwise. If you block local storage or clear browser data, pseudonymous continuity and lightweight measurement may not persist between visits.

Public Analytics Classification

Analytics is accepted through a same-origin server endpoint that validates the production domain, signed session, event schema, payload size, rate, and request context. Verified public-human activity is separated from known crawlers and unknown traffic. Owner, administrator, Codex, automated test, preview, staging, and other signed synthetic activity is rejected before an event is stored in the public analytics stream.

Administrators may enroll a device with a secure signed exclusion cookie on each Salt & Silk domain. Rejected internal or synthetic requests may increment a privacy-safe aggregate quality counter, but the rejected path, visitor identifier, event properties, and navigation event are not retained.

Account-Linked Analytics

When an eligible visitor is signed in to a Salt & Silk account, we may use the verified Firebase Authentication session to associate that visitor's pseudonymous analytics identifier with the account. This allows authorized administrators to understand signed-in customer journeys and may display the account's stored display name or email in the restricted Admin Center.

The account association is stored separately from raw analytics events. We do not use browsing behavior, device type, operating system, location, or an email-name pattern to guess who an anonymous visitor is. If the same browser presents conflicting accounts, the association is quarantined rather than assigned to either person. Owner and administrator accounts remain excluded from public analytics.

How We Use Information

We use information to send brand updates, manage early access interest, review applications, match sample sizes for fit-testing needs, operate shared Salt & Silk accounts, understand eligible signed-in and anonymous site journeys, track initiation and future access, confirm purchases, respond to inquiries, understand site performance, and prepare future product and partnership communications.

Consent and Unsubscribe

Marketing emails will be sent only to people who request updates. You may unsubscribe from future marketing emails at any time once email delivery is active. Transactional emails tied to account access, order confirmations, payment status, shipping, returns, or service messages may still be sent when needed to complete a purchase or support request.

Service Providers

Salt & Silk Group may use service providers for hosting, authentication, database operations, email delivery, payment processing, analytics, optional location autocomplete, and related site operations. Current or planned providers may include Firebase, Google Maps/Places when location autocomplete is active, and other infrastructure, email, or payment partners used to run the site and related communications.

Those providers should only process information for the services they provide to us. Payment details are processed by the relevant payment provider and are not stored in full on the public website.

Account and Order Records

When checkout is active, we store the account email tied to the purchase or, for guest checkout, the order email and guest-order identifiers needed to support the order. We use that information to send receipts and post-purchase updates, answer support questions, recover guest orders, link eligible guest purchases to an account after verification, process returns or refunds, and maintain access to the correct Salt & Silk account.

Creator, Vendor, and Partnership Inquiries

If you contact Salt & Silk Group about creator, model, press, vendor, or partnership opportunities, we may keep the contact details, social handles, portfolio links, message contents, and other details you choose to send so we can review and respond.

Separate written agreements, releases, or disclosure requirements may apply before any collaboration, gifting, paid content, public posting, or image use moves forward.

Employment and Fit-Testing Applications

Application records are reviewed privately by authorized Salt & Silk administrators. Fit-profile information is used to evaluate sample-size needs, fitting availability, role fit, and next steps. We do not ask for date of birth on the application form, and optional social or media links should be submitted only when they help explain experience or public-facing work.

Submitting an application does not guarantee employment, fit-testing participation, event invitations, public-facing work, or future compensation. Additional eligibility, paperwork, releases, or agreements may be requested later if an opportunity moves forward.

Retention and Security

We keep waitlist, application, account, and order records for as long as they are reasonably needed for review, customer support, legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or launch operations. Detailed pseudonymous verified-human analytics and verified account-to-pseudonym links may be retained for up to 13 months. Short-lived operational delivery records are generally configured for approximately 30 days, and bot, unknown-traffic, performance, and sanitized error detail for approximately 30 to 90 days. Aggregated business measurements may be kept longer when they no longer contain a raw event trail.

Analytics retention uses automatic expiry policies where supported. Expiry is not always instantaneous, and operational deletion may complete after the recorded expiry time. We use platform-level security controls from our providers, but no internet system can be guaranteed perfectly secure.

Your Requests

You may request help with access, correction, deletion, guest-order recovery, account linking, unsubscribe questions, or other privacy inquiries by emailing support@saltandsilkgroup.com. We may need to verify account ownership, order ownership, or request details before changing, linking, deleting, or disclosing account-related information.

Eligibility Standards

The public site is intended for a general audience. Certain employment, fit-feedback, photoshoot, and event opportunities may have role-specific eligibility requirements, paperwork, releases, or supervision standards that are handled after initial application review.
